Current Projects
Child of the Earth delivers a range of nature-based projects in West Wales. We work with schools and local community groups, prioritising those with additional barriers to accessing nature.

Bio*diversity: Woodland Youth Club
Dates: March – Oct 2026
Schedule: Monday evenings + Holiday Club days
Venue: Piliau Valley, Penrallt Ddu, Pen y Bryn
We are delighted to be continuing Bio*diversity: Woodland Youth Club in 2026. The after school club provides a safe, compassionate and fun space for 8-13 year olds with neurodiversity.
These sessions are designed to facilitate social connection, build peer support around the challenges of neurodiversity, promote a well-regulated nervous system and to empower the young people through practicing new skills. Participants have the opportunity to get involved with nature connection games, bushcraft and campfire cooking skills, alongside lots of free time to have fun in the woods together!

Canolfan y Don
Dates: June 2025 – March 2027
Venue: Canolfan y Don Specialist Resource Centre, Ysgol Aberporth
Child of the Earth received funding from Dr Dewi Davies Endowment Fund for a multi-year project working with children with profound disabilities and learning difficulties at Canolfan y Don Special School in Aberporth.
Our trained and experienced outdoor learning facilitators will be working closely with the school staff to introduce the children to a range of nature connection games and activities, tailored to their specific needs and interests. Activities include nature based art and crafts, outdoor music, water fun and dens and sensory swings. The sessions will provide joy and nurturing developmental stimulus.
